Where is pi referenced in the bible

An orphan method is a method that is not part of a larger system, and can only be used once, to explain one thing. Allowing orphan methods to explain the world around us will allow the conclusion that we're indeed in a yellow submarine, in the hollow tooth of an intergalactic whale that hums O When The Saints A: Okay. A fire truck holds water. Water is the home of fish. Fish have fins.

Fins live in Finland. Which is next door to Russia. Which is or used to be red. And that's why. This would have been a marvelous discovery if the values of uncle and aunt added up to cousin; they don't and the method is an orphan. Same with the numerical values for East vaguely connected to Paradise, which was 'to the east' and Tree Of Life: and they are sequential Fibonacci numbers! This would have been jolly great if the rest of the Fibonacci sequence also popped out of the Paradise cycle; it doesn't.

Looking for information in the vast crypt of Biblical Scriptures is intensely gratifying. But in any text this large, anything can be found if one wants it bad enough. A golden rule that this number trick transgresses is that information from the crypt should never contradict information in the narrative layer.

Assuming that God dictates something completely wrong for all to hear and then hides something — that still isn't true! Since it is impossible to arrive at a perfectly accurate ratio, they assumed a round number Maimonides makes an astounding statement, because the irrationality of pi wasn't proven until by Johann H. And the transcendence of pi wasn't proven until Ferdinand von Lindemann. Still, who are they to assume a round number? It's in the Bible and that ain't hay. What about other numbers in the Bible?

Recall that pi is the ratio of circumference to diameter in a circle.

And even most young students know that pi is not exactly equal to three. It is often approximated as 3. It is not difficult to measure the diameter and circumference of a circle to confirm that pi does indeed have this value.

The present chapter divisions in our Bibles were invented in by Stephen Langton, a professor in Paris he later became Archbishop of Canterbury , who put these into a Vulgate edition of the Bible. These chapter divisions were first used by the Jews in for the Hebrew Old Testament in a manuscript and for a printed edition in This system of chapter divisions likewise came into the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament in the s.

It was Robert Stephanus, a Parisian book printer, whose versification of the Bible has prevailed to the present. He took over the verse divisions already indicated in the Hebrew Bible by the soph pasuq and assigned numbers to them within the chapter divisions already assigned by Stephan Langton.

Consequently the quality of his work was not the best. There is no consistent method at work in this system. The verses sometimes coincide with a single sentence, and sometimes they include several sentences; sometimes a single sentence is divided into two verses, with the result that the reader is led to consider the second verse while forgetting the point of view of the first verse.

Especially objectionable is the way in which words introducing a direct quotation sometimes belong to the preceding verse and sometimes to the verse in which the quotation is found. But through Stephanus the versification of the Old Testament found its way into the Hebrew Bible printed first in It is utterly impractical, however, to think of expunging them from our Bibles. These divisions do not rest upon a comprehension of the literary structure of the Biblical books.

But it is utterly impractical today to think of trying to correct this system of chapter divisions. From practical considerations, this system must be kept as the means for designating individual passages. All that we can do is to realize that this system falls far short of doing justice to the inherent units of Scripture. Every effort must be made to print the text in a way which makes it possible for the units which the author himself had in mind to become apparent. Consider this extract from a post by Daniel P.

Especially objectionable is the way in which words introducing a direct quotation sometimes belong to the preceding verse and sometimes to the verse in which the quotation is found…. But whatever the text that is being used, the advice of A.

That code would not have held for the original Greek in which it was written. You are using the modern English Alphabet which came into being much later. Think King James era. Easy mistake to make. Thanks for your break down as i desire to build a home based on biblical numbers and if you have any knowledge that could guide me further, such as the math of the temple built by Solomon it would be helpful. I am sane it just feels good to me to live in a structure that daily keeps me thinking of God and my Salvation.

Given the information on this page about phi in the Bible, you may be surprised to learn that the Golden Ratio also exists in the true arrangement of the Scriptures: with the pattern UCCOO one Unique, two Complementary, and two Opposite based on the characteristics of the first five numbers in the Fibonacci Sequence: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8.

You can find the full text of the KJV in photos here:. This is something that I cannot explain fully here, because it would take an entire website, videos, and books to do so, all of which are available on the site. Use the left side panel links to download free samples, view the full text of the English or Spanish KBV, or the KJV in photos, explore various theological issues, or learn about how the Golden Ratio format of the Bible really works. The links I posted above have changed somewhat.

Here are the new links. I apologize if you clicked on them and got an error message. What about age? Moses for instance lived years. Clearly, this is impossible.

I am wondering if Phi can somehow explain this….? Why is years of age impossible? We have people today who live almost that long. For example, Jacob and his sons and grandsons are recorded as having lived years or more. The long lifespan of Moses has nothing to do with Phi, only your unbelief in the reliability and authenticity of the Scriptures.

See the link I posted above for the Golden Ratio in Nature. This is incredible and I am now able to understand the FS and how it works. Connie, if you are on Facebook, I am giving a series of studies on the Golden Ratio and how God used it to organize the Bible text and Books. You can also download a free PDF from my website that contains all of these studies, and is updated weekly with new ones from Facebook.

Here is the link:. In reply to Max L. Day — About the chapters and verses of the Bible not being divinely inspired, how about this symmetrical structure of the Gospel of John in the traditional division of chapters and verses? The Forerunner. The Baptism with water. The Kingdom. The King. The Kingdom Rejected. The Successors. The Depression. Sympathy with Naomi. In Grief.

Boaz and Ruth. Ruth and Boaz. In Joy. The Uplifting. Not only have all Bible books such a symmetrical structure, also the paragraphs of each book, even the verses and sentences. These symmetries are caused by the repetition of subjects which reappear, either in alternation or introversion, or a combination of both in many diverse manners.

Since cubits and handbreadths are measured against a person's body, and since bodies vary, actual measurements as opposed to "standardized" measurements will vary from person to person. Your desk might be thirty inches tall, just like mine, but you might have bigger hands, so you might get a body-measure of only ten handbreadths. This variation is normal. Since we have no idea what Hiram's body measurements were, we'll have to approximate by using the standardized values for cubits and handbreadths.

If this discussion of a "sea", or large bowl, had been referring to what is called an "ideal" bowl a mathematical object, not existing in a physical sense, and having no thickness that could be felt or handled , then the text would indeed be claiming that the value of pi is three. But the text is referring to a real-world physical object, having the thick sidewalls necessary to support its own weight. Now that you know how to measure cubits, can you see that it would be rather difficult to measure the curved surface of a bowl in cubits?

Instead, a straightened rope would be used to measure the length. The rope would then have been moved to outline a circle with the desired circumference. Also, Hiram would not have just tossed some brass in the furnace and waited to see what came out. He would have designed the piece and would have given his workmen instructions. To make a "sea" like this would likely have required a mold. The outer mold would have one dimension, and the inner mold would have another.

Hiram would have given his workmen instructions regarding these measurements. Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the Phoenicians, being the renowned craftsmen that they were, had discovered a "rule of thumb"? Perhaps something along the lines of, "If a bowl is made with a three-to-one ratio between the inner circumference and the outer diameter, the bowl will have a desirable wall thickness that will support its own weight"?

When Egyptians and Babylonians came up with rules of thumb or accidentally discovered formulae like this, we credit them with being clever.

Now that you have some background information, let's look at the actual numbers:.
